Prenatal Support
After your initial consultation, we intentionally partner together to build trust, connection, and clear expectations for your birth journey. During our prenatal visits, we discuss my role as your doula, prepare your partner or support person for labor, and explore your birth preferences—honoring what is unique to you and your family.
As you attend routine OB or midwifery appointments, we remain in close communication for updates and support. In the final weeks of pregnancy, I can accompany you to prenatal appointments or provide in-home visits, depending on your needs and comfort. You’ll receive unlimited phone, text, and email support throughout pregnancy.
We also begin practicing comfort measures, breathing techniques, and labor positions to prepare your body and mind for birth. You are always encouraged to reach out with questions, fears, or concerns—I am here to support you emotionally, spiritually, and informationally every step of the way.
How Doulas Support Prenatally (Evidence-Informed)
Prenatal doula support is shown to:
Improve birth satisfaction and confidence
Increase understanding of medical procedures and options
Reduce fear and anxiety around labor and delivery
Help families create informed, flexible birth plans
Support partners by teaching hands-on comfort techniques and advocacy skills
Research consistently shows that prenatal education and continuous support help birthing people feel more prepared, empowered, and heard during birth.
